So, what should you expect when it comes to the 2024 RAM 1500 lineup? 

There are a few changes this year, with some minor updates and new special edition trim. The RAM 1500 TRX is leaving the lineup, so this year’s TRX model is the Final Edition.

The following are the 2024 Ram 1500 Trim Levels: 

• 2024 RAM 1500 Tradesman
• 2024 RAM 1500 Tradesman® HFE
• 2024 RAM 1500 Big Horn
• 2024 RAM 1500 Laramie
• 2024 RAM 1500 Rebel
• 2024 RAM 1500 Limited Longhorn 
• 2024 RAM 1500 Limited
• 2024 RAM 1500 TRX 

No matter which trim you choose, you’ll find the most luxurious RAM 1500 ever. This year’s model is packed with advanced technologies and plenty of comfort and convenience features, like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, panoramic sunroof, optional leather seats, a tailgate ajar warning system, and more.

New for 2024 is the Limited Elite Package, which includes a 12-inch frameless digital gauge cluster, nine paint color options, and two color scheme choices. The Limited Elite Edition adds a multifunction tailgate with a tailgate-ajar warning lamp, adjustable cargo tie-downs, and a cargo divider. Inside the cab of the Elite, you’ll find a jeweled rotary shifter, premium quilted leather upholstery, a suede headliner, and a bright pedal kit.

The 2024 RAM 1500 is available with three body/bed configurations: extended quad cab with a 6-foot-4 bed, or crew cab with either a standard 5-foot-7 bed or the longer bed. You can also choose from two tailgate designs: standard and the optional multifunction split design. 

2024 RAM 1500 Interior Design and Dimensions  

The interior of the 2024 RAM 1500 is what earned it the title of most luxurious RAM 1500 ever. In addition to the features previously mentioned, you’ll enjoy plenty of storage options in the truck, including a large, multi-configuration center console and RamBox® Cargo Management System.

The interior dimensions of the new RAM 1500 vary based on your chosen cab style. In the quad cab, you’ll find a total of 117 cubic feet of room for you and your passengers. The crew cab model offers even more room, with a whopping 132 cubic feet of interior capacity. Both models can seat five of six passengers, depending on trim level.

2024 RAM 1500 Performance Specs and Tailgate Features 

The 2024 RAM 1500 comes standard with a 3.6-liter V6 engine that provides 305 horsepower and 269 lb.-ft of torque. The optional 5.7-liter V8 engine delivers 395 horsepower and 410 lb.-ft of torque. Towing capacity is up to 12,750 pounds with a payload of up to 2,320 pounds.

Both engines are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and assisted by a 48-volt mild hybrid system (eTorque). This system adds a small amount of electricity when the driver accelerates, this increases power and improves fuel efficiency.

Even the tailgate on the 2024 RAM 1500 is anything but ordinary. In addition to the standard tailgate, you can upgrade to an advanced multifunction tailgate that boasts 60/40 split swing-away doors. If you’re towing, you’ll love the trailer hitch light, which illuminates the hitch so you can see it clearly, even in the darkest conditions.

The First-Ever Electric RAM Truck

In 2025, RAM promises to deliver a fully electric RAM 1500 REV pickup. As of right now, it’s slated to be made available for purchase in late 2024. The REV will have a towing capacity of as much as 14,000 pounds and a range of 500 miles on a single charge. Keep an eye out for more details!
